  2. In October of 1999, I was struggling with the start of my novel Try and Catch the Wind. At the last minute, my boss asked me to attend a Risk Management conference in Saratoga Springs, New York. A week later, I was there, enjoying the breathtaking scenery of upstate New York in October, green fields, red barns, old stone bridges, churches hundreds of years old, pumpkins everywhere. A week later, on the plane ride back to Arizona, my retired detective novel crystallized when I made the setting in a fictitious town in upstate New York in October. The retired detective was now ex-NYPD. The novel became a, so far, three-book series. It took me six years to find a publisher, but February 1, 2008 Try and Catch the Wind was published by Wings ePress.

    Dear Blog Owner,

My name is Jordan Ellis and I am a marketing assistant with Virtualbookworm.com Publishing. I would like to arrange some Virtualbookworm “virtual” book tours for some of our authors, so we are looking for blogs willing to host stops on such a tour.

They will be able to provide original content, whether through blog posts, answering interview questions through a podcast or e-mail, or they can send you a copy of the book for you to write a review.

In return, you will receive original content for your blog, incoming links from the author’s blog or website, and increased awareness of your blog through press releases where the book tours and stops are mentioned. We would also be willing to place an ad for your site in our main author promotional area, which is open to the public.

If you are interested in hosting a tour stop for any of our authors, please let me know the type of content you would like authors to provide (i.e., a blog post, interview, and/or a review).

Thank you for your time. We look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Sincerely,

    Jordan Ellis
