The Story Behind Humanizing the Jaguar by Monica Daddio

The story behind my writing Humanizing the Jaguar is that I wrote it to honor the music and musicians that I love and admire by dedicating it to them and to create a storyline that any musician could appreciate. Since music is part of my life everyday and very important to me, I wanted my story to be centered around my love of music in several ways. First, the main character becomes the next major rock icon, living the rock and roll fantasy lifestyle. Second, I included a game for the avid music fan to play. I wanted to do something different by giving the reader more entertainment value than the average book. I call this a two-for-one punch. The reader gets a full-length fictional story and also the opportunity to be interactive with the book by playing the game, which has over 150 clues that are embedded deep within the text. This is my unique way of having other senses stimulated by the music experience, not just though our ears. If you are a music buff this book will peak your interest. Whether you play solo or challenge someone else–it‘s up to you. HOWEVER, the storyline can be appreciated by anyone who enjoys suspense, drama and some romance. I don’t want the game to deter readers from enjoying a terrific novel; Humanizing the Jaguar is truly a complete story where you don’t have to be a music buff to enjoy it.

Monica Daddio was born and raised in Trenton, NJ. She attended St. Stephens and Holy Cross grammar schools, Junior 4, and

Trenton High. From there went to wrok for Mercer County Elections Office. Most recently she has retired and relocated to the Bristol VA/TN area.
