The Story Behind the Book
Inspirational and easy to use, The Seeds of Beauty: Defining Your Beauty and Style from the Inside Out connects the elements of inner beauty with expert style advice on building a winning wardrobe. The story behind this book stems greatly from a need that I sought to fulfill with my personal image clients. Occasionally, some of my clients would look phenomenal after our image consultations, but the light in their eyes never seemed to linger no matter how perfect the look. It was a feeling I recognized from my own struggles with self-image, and I wanted to share what I learned with the hope of inspiring another. During our shopping trips we began to drill down deeper into the topics of self-love and esteem. With each conversation I saw a strength emerging. Whether it was finally learning to say no or finding the courage to let go of the past and move forward.
It was then that I began to see a lasting transformation and I realized that before a make-up or fashion consultation begins, her real beauty needed to start from within.
When you struggle with self-esteem and defining your image, it’s invaluable to have someone there to guide you through the rough patches based on their experiences. It’s how we learn. However not everyone has that. The inspiration behind this book is to be a voice and let the reader know that she is not alone in the challenges she may be facing and that she possesses the power to overcome them. Self-esteem and struggles with personal image is something at all women face from time to time and it is my hope that each woman who reads this books is reminded of the value and beauty that her existence brings into this world.
