The Story Behind Linked by Judy Serrano

I love to write. Everywhere I go, my flash drive travels right along with me. I tease people when they notice it and let them know tLinkedhat if they do something mean to me while I’m carrying, they may find themselves dead in my next novel. And it won’t be pretty.

I was a stay-at-home mom for 12 years. When my youngest son finally went to school full-time, I knew it was time for me to go back to work and contribute financially to the household. There is one thing that most people probably do not know about going back to work after being out of your industry for a while. Society does not reward you for taking care of your family. I was unable to get back into the workforce and had to go back to school and change careers. When I was completing my undergraduate degree, I became suddenly stimulated to write. Now, don’t get me wrong; I wrote my first book when I was 12 years old, so this wasn’t new to me. I had a professor who inspired me, and off I went. I wrote three books in the first six months and just kept going. My Easter’s Lilly Series was my first accomplishment, and I now have six books out in that series. Linked came along a little later. I love vampires and wanted to try my hand at writing a vampire book. After seeing a vampire like Damon Salvatore on The Vampire Diaries, I couldn’t resist creating my own. Once I started writing it, I couldn’t stop and wrote First Blood, which is book two of the series. Linked is published by 6K Publishing. Don’t tell anyone but I kind of have an “in” with the owner. (He’s my husband). But it was originally published by Black Rose Writing, and Black Rose has my Lilly Series. I will never forget the day I got my acceptance letter. It was very exciting. Although Black Rose is a small publisher, they put me on the map, and I will forever be grateful.
